Allison Tant

Allison Tant represents Florida House District 9, covering Leon, Jefferson, and Madison counties. She holds leadership roles on education and commerce committees and has worked across party lines on hurricane recovery and resilience.

Tant has led local disaster-relief efforts and is a longtime advocate for people with disabilities. She founded Independence Landing, helped establish educational and workforce programs, and serves several disability-focused organizations. She is also active in numerous Tallahassee civic and educational groups and lives with her husband, Barry Richard, in a blended family with five children and two grandchildren.
