Co-sponsor or introduce a Florida Equal Rights Act modeled on state-level nondiscrimination protections that cover sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression in housing, employment, and public accommodations. Florida is one of the few states with no comprehensive statewide nondiscrimination statute.

Co-sponsor repeal of SB 180, the post-storm preemption law that blocks cities and counties from passing stronger building and development standards after hurricanes. Our local leaders know what our communities need after a storm. Tallahassee doesn't.

Campaign actively for the November 2026 renewal of the Save Our Indian River Lagoon half-cent sales tax. This is on the ballot this year. It raises $59 million annually, has completed 111 restoration projects since 2016, and has leveraged over $110 million in matching grants. Renewing it is non-negotiable.

Oppose the "do nothing" approach in the Senate. Legislative leaders say they expect no major insurance changes because the reforms are "working." The average Brevard homeowner paying $4,000 or more a year for coverage would disagree. The reforms passed in 2022-23 were a start, not a finish.
